Halmstad University advances in prestigious world ranking
Halmstad University has advanced in the ranking from Times Higher Education, which includes many of the world’s leading universities. In this year’s ranking, 2,191 institutions from 115 countries were evaluated, and Halmstad University is placed in the 800–1,000 range globally and eighth in Sweden.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE ranking) was launched in 2004 and is considered one of the three most well known and prestigious international university rankings. Institutions are assessed based on five criteria: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry and international outlook. The first three areas carry the most weight, each accounting for 30 percent.
Halmstad University’s strongest area is international outlook, where the University ranks among the top 500 in the world.

Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE ranking) is based on data collected from universities according to five criteria: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry and international outlook. In total, there are more than 20,000 higher education institutions worldwide.
