Open Space workshop provided direction for REBEL’s continued work

On 22 April, the REBEL research programme invited researchers, developers, funders, interested private and public actors and communities to an Open Space workshop. The goal was to explore the directions that REBEL wants to explore together and to come up with a prioritised and co-created list of what they will develop.

“The REBEL stakeholder workshop is an annual event and our way of bringing in a reference group. The aim of organising this workshop is to create a vibrant space for networking across disciplines and sectors with shared interests in co-creating responsible innovations for socially sustainable future living”, says Jesper Lund, REBEL’s research programme leader.

Region Halland was one of the participating organisations:

“Collaboration is Region Halland’s primary tool, and an Open Space gives us the opportunity to get people on board. It is a very permissive setting where, with an open mind, you can discuss questions and challenges, which in turn makes it easier to be creative. I find it incredibly valuable to be able to come here with ideas I have been considering within my organisation. At the end of the day, we discuss how we want to take a certain issue forward, and afterwards everyone takes responsibility for ensuring that this issue continues to be discussed in a shared process of ownership”, says Ellen Källberg, strategist at the business development department at Region Halland.
