School of Business, Innovation and Sustainability

The School of Business, Innovation and Sustainability (FIH) trains future economists, engineers and environmental scientists.

About FIH

The School has approximately 120 employees and consists of five departments.

Management, administration and teachers/researchers have offices in newly renovated premises in the S Building on campus. Most of the teaching is also conducted in this building, but sometimes lectures are held in other buildings on campus.

The School of Business, Innovation and Sustainability trains future economists, engineers and environmental scientists.

Department of Construction and Energy Engineering

The Department of Construction and Energy Engineering conducts education and research within construction and energy.

On the construction engineering programme, the focus is on construction design and project planning, partly on construction design and project management. The focus of the Energy Engineering Programme is renewable energy.

In energy engineering, research is conducted in district heating, wind power and smart energy use. In district heating, for example, low-temperature systems and the expansion of district heating in Europe and China are managed.

Construction engineering research is conducted within, among other things, management and organisation of construction processes, innovations, quality management in construction and sustainable construction in developing countries.

The researchers at this department belong to the research environments Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Learning Research (CIEL) and the Rydberg Laboratory for Applied Sciences (RLAS).
