Working with

Dr. Rasmus Karlsson is Associate Professor of Political Science at Halmstad University, where he has been employed since 2023. He is co-applicant of the research project “Coordinating Sectoral Demands on Biomass in the Transition to a Fossil-Free Welfare Society”, funded by the Swedish Energy Agency for 2025–2027. In March 2025, he contributed a chapter on ecomodernism as a political ideology to the Handbook of Environmental Political Theory in the Anthropocene (Edward Elgar Publishing). His research focuses on environmental and climate politics, and he also has a strong interest in higher education pedagogy. This latter work includes an article on hybrid teaching published in the Journal of Social Work Education.
