My research focus is on sociology of law and norm-science. Sociology of law is a perspective within social science that, among other things, study law's societal and behavioural interconnectedness; and how the legal system and legal rules affect people and society.
Working from a norm-scientific perspective means studying and comparing different normative structures and processes. This can, for example, be about understanding how formal legal norms are challenged by informal social norms that emerge as a consequence of new technology being introduced in society.
Among others, I have studied: (a) technology and social change, (b) Work life in transition and (c) corruption and economic security.
I am currently the project leader of the following three research projects: (1) Corruption and Social Norms, funded by ICLD, (2) A Multi-Level Perspective on Corruption, funded by VR, and (3) Online Hate Against Journalists, funded by the Swedish Crime Victims Fund.
