Working with

I completed my PhD in Education at the University of York, United Kingdom, where my research examined academics’ motivation for research and teaching, as well as how university teachers approach their professional roles. Before joining Halmstad University, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University.

My research focuses on two complementary areas. The first is teaching and learning in higher education, with particular interests in higher education pedagogy and academic development. The second is higher education governance and academic work, including research policy, academic careers, and the changing conditions of academic profession.

I am a member of the Swedish research team for the Future-AP (Current and Future Challenges in the Academic Profession) project, together with colleagues at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. This international comparative study brings together more than 40 research teams worldwide to investigate academic careers, working conditions, and the evolving nature of academic work.
