My research focuses on the intersection of policy and practice, particularly how ideas, policies and governance shape organisation, leadership and professional work. Much of my research has been situated in education and adult education, where I have studied quality, governance, student support and the enactment of policy across national and local contexts. More recently, my research has expanded to include skills supply and cross-organisational collaboration, leadership, innovation and competence development, as well as digitalisation and information-driven healthcare. Across these areas, I am particularly interested in how policies and organisational ambitions are interpreted and translated into practice by organisations and professionals.
