Project InnoTech TaskForce
Halmstad University is one of the partners in the InnoTech TaskForce project, a Swedish-Danish collaboration to promote green innovations using digital technologies including wireless communication and Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
Lack of skills and resources is often a major challenge that makes it difficult for municipalities to use data and digital technologies. The EU-funded Innotech Taskforce project aims to facilitate the implementation of digitalisation for the green transition and the Swedish-Danish cooperation helps to bridge the gap between the needs of municipalities and the technical expertise and solutions available.
In the project, different actors work together in a collaborative arena with broad constellations and exchange of experience between municipalities, research institutes, academia and expertise both in Sweden and Denmark. This means that technical innovations and green solutions from other municipalities in the Öresund region can also be utilised and the collaboration helps to increase knowledge for everyone.
Thematic areas
InnoTech works around the following five thematic areas.
Smart buildings
Through optimisation in various ways, the sustainability of public buildings can be increased. Data about the building can be used to create a digital twin and simulate how the building's energy consumption can be optimised.
Climate/water
Here sensors, qualitative data and hydraulic models are used to investigate suitable solutions for different challenges.
Urban development in 3D
With the help of a 3D city model, decision-making in urban development projects is facilitated. The model can be used as an assessment tool both internally at the municipality and in dialogue with citizens and can highlight the consequences of planned projects and
The status of the city
Through digitalisation, the climate and environmental footprint can be reduced. Data can be used to develop tools for a better functioning city. Measuring the status of the city is about process optimisation, for example through intelligent digital solutions.
Urban and rural mobility
The theme aims to strengthen urban and rural planning for settlement, village life and mobility by evaluating and planning with relevant data.
