Financial Intelligence of Immigrant Women for Independent Stability and Empowerment
WISE is an Erasmus+ project (Action Type KA220-ADU – Cooperation Partnerships in Adult Education) that aims to enhance financial literacy and economic empowerment among migrant women by equipping both learners and adult educators with practical financial intelligence skills.
Recognizing financial literacy as a key driver of independence and social inclusion, WISE adopts a community-based and inclusive approach aligned with EU priorities on lifelong learning, digital education, and financial inclusion
The project develops a comprehensive educational ecosystem that includes an interactive and gamified MOOC, a structured competence framework, and a certification system based on European micro-credentials. In addition, WISE provides an Educators’ Training Compass and targeted training programs to support educators in delivering culturally sensitive and effective financial literacy education.
Implemented across seven EU countries over 36 months, WISE aims to train at least 50 educators and empower over 500 migrant women through both online and in-person learning activities. The project promotes key competencies such as budgeting, savings, digital banking, entrepreneurship, and investment literacy, enabling participants to confidently navigate financial systems.
Through its five core results—Competence Framework, Certification Framework, MOOC, Educators’ Training Compass, and Training of Educators—WISE contributes to building a financially inclusive society. Ultimately, the project seeks to foster economic independence, entrepreneurship, and long-term socio-economic integration among migrant women while strengthening the capacity of adult education systems.
