Jens research is innovation-driven and connects research questions and projects that relate to the different phases of the innovation process; needs orientation, design and development, testing and implementation, evaluation, dissemination and commercialization. The research is primarily focused on organizational change, patient flows, decision support, patient participation and resource optimization within the various organizational forms of healthcare. The research takes place in collaboration between researchers, target groups, practitioners and social actors within the public and private sector to ensure a high level of application in clinical practice.
For the past 15 years, Jens has focused on developing interdisciplinary research on young people's mental health and on developing health-promoting efforts for this target group in healthcare and social care. Special focus has been directed towards children's participation and how it can be promoted through innovative digital services.
