Smart Cities and Communities - Theories and Methods
The content of the course deals with the development of innovative and sustainable solutions to promote a smart society and improve the way people live and work from a sustainability perspective. Such solutions involve complex challenges that affect several sectors of society and are based on collaboration and cooperation, where different areas of knowledge contribute to the development of innovations. With an interdisciplinary theoretical basis, the conditions that exist for meeting societal challenges are shown as well as the various methods that are available to make it possible to create value together with residents, public activities and businesses that contribute to both safe and smart residential areas, as well as social development and growth.
The course contains five modules: What is SCC, Cultural and social perspectives, Application areas, Methods, Social benefit/Impact on society.
The course has five mandatory meetings on campus in Halmstad, where you meet course teachers and course participants.
