Robots for increased well-being

Martin Cooney, Docent and Senior Lecturer in Robotics at Halmstad University, researches about robots and well-being. It is about how robots can interact with people to help them feel good and how robots can act in different emergency situations. It is also about identifying situations and tasks where robots can be of useful to humans, such as helping to treat, teach, defend, make art with and play with people, when there is no human available to do so. It is a broad topic that brings together ideas from AI, engineering, psychology and health.
